Maya at Camp
Maya started a wonderful camp! A friend of Ruth's has the camp at her house. They do yoga, cooking, and arts and crafts. Maya went by herself this week but will go with her cousin, Ariel next week. She had a great time and made some new friends. She got along just fine despite the fact most of the kids only spoke Spanish. She cannot wait to go back next week.
Here is where they do yoga. Each child brings their own mat.
They cook at the table and then have what they cooked for snack.

This is a jungle gym that all the kids painted. Maya was covered in green paint from head to toe, literally.

Playing in El Salvador
Here are some great pics of the kids playing. Maya had a great time playing with Jackie and Ezmeralda. Maya laughed and laughed during this crazy game of catch.
Here the kids were making pics with the girls for their Tia and cousin Joel who were suppose to be coming in from San Diego that night.
Jake was at his tennis lesson again beating his teacher, Miguel.
During this tennis lesson, Maya learned how to hit the ball over the net.

El Salvador 2008

We finally arrived in paradise!! It has been nothing but relaxing since we have arrived. We have enjoyed all of our favorite foods in just the few days we have been here...pupusas, chulupas, tres leches, chocolate cake, fresh avocados and mangos from the back garden. The kids enjoyed the garden the first day we had. They played in the sprinkler and Jacob got everyone involved in his own version of baseball. On Monday, Amanda came to give us all our mani-pedi. Tuesday, we went to the Deportivo for tennis lessons with Miguel and then an ice cream treat. Today is Wednesday. It has been a quiet day of playing in the house for the kids. We wake up , eat on the terrace, do our morning exercises on Wii Fit and then get ready for the day. Today, Maya went to visit the camp she will begin tomorrow. She will do arts and crafts, yoga, cooking, and circus play including walking on a tight rope. She is very excited!
We miss everyone and hope everyone is having a great summer so far. Feel free to email us at mommyjnm@yahoo.com.
